Jennifer joined Foster Townsend LLP in 2008. She received a BA (Honours) Political Science (with distinction) from King’s College at the University of Western Ontario in 2001 and obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2005. While at the University of Ottawa, she was honoured with the Brown and Evans Book Prize for academic excellence in Administrative Law. Jennifer articled with a litigation firm in Ottawa and joined that firm as an associate following her call to the Ontario Bar in July 2006. Jennifer developed an interest in insurance defence litigation, when she worked as a summer student at Foster Townsend LLP in between her second and third year of law school. In December 2008, she was excited to rejoin the FTGA team.
Jennifer is passionate about advocacy and has cultivated her knowledge by participating in several intensive continuing legal education courses concerning motions, mediations, and trial advocacy. She has second chaired two Superior Court trials and has independently conducted trials in Small Claims Court.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching movies and reading. She also likes to participate in a variety of outdoor activities such as zip lining, sailing, and camping.
